Fleet Feet Prediction Run

There were about 50 people for today’s prediction run at Fleet Feet where individual runners or two person relay teams had to predict their time for a two loop half marathon course. No watches, GPS devices, heart rate monitors, smart phones or other aids were allowed. The first loop was rather hilly along Highland Ave and up to Kip’s Castle while the second loop was flatter including about half of the Ashenfelter 8K course in Glen Ridge. The results were very close with 10 people finishing within one minute of their predicted time and 4 or 5 people within 10 seconds. Don Manfria took home the golden foot as the overall winner finishing only 4 seconds off his predicted time and just edging out Karen Sadnberg Patton, Stacy Marcus and Rob Allen. Many thanks to John Fabbro, Paul Giuliano and Laura Messina for organizing this excellent event and providing refreshments after the run.
