Club/Team Race – Ridgewood Run (10K at 8:15am, 5K at 10:15am) @ Ridgewood, NJ8:00 am – 12:00 pm
The 38th annual Ridgewood Run organized by North Jersey Masters will be held as usual on Memorial Day on a mostly flat course through the beautiful tree lined streets of Ridgewood. There is an earlier start time for the 10K this year which is the USATF-NJ Men’s Masters Championship! The race has a very festive atmosphere and many amenities but be sure to pre-register as there is no race day registration.

Club Race – Montclair Run (2 Mile – 8:30am, 10K – 9:30am) @ Montclair, NJ8:30 am – 11:00 am
Tom Fleming will be the honorary starter of this local race through the tree lined streets of Montclair. The 10K always draws a lot of club members and the 2-miler is a great race for kids who are aspiring runners. The courses are mostly flat with the 10K going through Edgemont and Anderson parks. The Montclair YMCA organizes the day’s events with something for the entire family. Pre-race sign-up is available at Fleet Feet with packet pickup on May 31 and Jun 1.

Group Run – Smoke Rise Challenge @ Kinnelon, NJ7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
This Thursday-night event, one of our summer group runs, is a friendly 4-mile race against the Smoke Rise Road Runners in Kinnelon. Smoke Rise is a beautiful place to run (or walk) and the course winds around a lake on quiet, tree-lined streets with some challenging hills in miles 2 and 3. It’s well worth the drive and the folks at Smoke Rise always give us a very warm welcome. Post race festivities will be held at the home of George and Christa Studzinski (14 Undercliff Rd). Please R.S.V.P. (studzins@umdnj.edu) and plan to arrive at the beach parking lot at Smoke Rise by 7:15 pm.

Club/Team Race – President’s Cup @ Millburn, NJ8:00 pm – 9:30 pm
This premier New Jersey 5K organized by Sneaker Factory usually produces some very fast times on its double-loop course through downtown Millburn. It returns this year as the USATF-NJ Open Men’s 5K Championship. The late evening start adds to the excitement as the race unfolds with night-time approaching and many spectators cheering on the runners. Most people stay for the post race party behind Charlie Brown’s Restaurant with complementary beverages served from a Sam Adams beer truck.

Club/Team Race – Lager Run @ Glen Ridge, NJ6:15 pm – 9:00 pm
This late afternoon event is staged at Hurrell Field in Glen Ridge and features a fast course on the beautiful tree-lined, gas lit streets of Glen Ridge with the finish on the track. It’s also the USATF-NJ Masters Men’s 5K Championship again this year so we expect to have several age group teams competing. There are tech tops to the first 800 pre-registered runners and a post race party hosted by Fitzgerald’s 1928 featuring Brooklyn Brewery Brooklyn Lager!

Club Race – Sunset Classic @ Bloomfield, NJ7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
This will be the 25th running of this popular 5-mile race through the streets of Bloomfield and Glen Ridge with a stadium finish on the new track at Foley Field. Post race party features hot dogs, ice cream, drinks, DJ and random prize drawings. Pre-race sign-up is available at Fleet Feet with packet pickup on Jun 25 and 26.
