Sugarloaf Marathon Recap “Come to Maine,” they said. “We’re running the Sugarloaf Marathon, you should come too,” they said. We knew the Sugarloaf more »

After an epic winter and training through it, winter did not loosen its grip on us for this past Saturday DC Rock n Roll marathon. Instead, it gave us yet another hurdle to overcome. Freezing rain and wind from the beginning to the end of the 26.xx (most Gamines measured an at least an extra .25 miles), more »

Boston Marathon, April 21, 2014–Mick Close

VIA Marathon – Allentown to Easton, PA

The Via Marathon today was my 2nd (and last chance) to qualify for Boston. As most of you already know I just missed qualifying a few weeks ago having assisted another runner at the Run for the Unicorn Marathon at Washington’s Crossing. However, since that time my suspicions of how difficult it will be to more »

NJ Marathon Recap, May 5, 2013–Glen Freyer

If Marathons were only 18 miles I SO would have PR’d. I ran the NJ marathon yesterday just 3 weeks after Boston. It was supposed to be a secret – a personal bonus marathon where I could attempt a PR or drop out and not care. No one had to know. But Gigs saw me more »
